(sung to the tune of "Jack's Lament" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas")
There are few that deny at what he does, he is the best,
For his talents are renowned, far and wide.
When it comes to Tim Burton, and his films' music scores,
Danny Elfman is his go-to music guy.
With the slightest little effort of his musical grace,
His scores give audiences chills.
From the weird "Mars Attacks!" to "Edward Scissorhands",
Danny's music has some beauty, there, as well!
From film after film, it's his favorite thing,
I forgot to mention that he also sings,
As Jack, the Pumpkin King,
And old Bone-Jangles, a groovy thing...
Oh, he's a genius, and loved by all,
But no one else sees that, at all.
When will his works be admired, again?
Will Elfman still be well-known, 'till then?
He's the master of tune, and with even a croon,
Danny gives the audience a taste of the best.
Even in "Big Fish", it never takes a wish;
Elfman's scores stand out all above the rest!
Since he was in a band, his singing's never bland,
And his range stretches out to great lengths.
With the imagery of Burton, it's really quite certain
That their teamwork gives these gentlemen their strengths.
But, the younger folks, and their newer music trends,
They will never top Elfman's music, then.
Even at age 64, his music's still so good.
We'd praise him, once more, if we only could...

That Elfman's scores will never change.
Still making music, at age 64,
Elfman is loved, forevermore.

I began writing this, one month before Danny Elfman's birthday, and I had yet to upload it. Now, here it is; if you've seen Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas", you'll probably know the tune this is to be sung to.
Mr. Elfman is 64, this year, and I thought that, after drawing a tribute to the scores he composed, why not write a tribute song, to go along with it?
Odd as it may seem, I originally thought of writing to the tune of the "Mars Attacks!" theme, the "Beetlejuice" theme, "This is Halloween", and even "What's This?"! Too bad that, when I tried writing it out, the lyrics didn't look right, and the instrumental scores just don't need words.
